Our first trip to St. John will begin July 27th. The first stop after the ferry will be to St. John's Spice. We are hot sauce/spice fanatics!!!! Ruth and Ron are living our dream in paradise operating a spice shop. Bryon must have 200 (easy) types of hot sauces/marinades and uses them in his creative cooking every day. Yes, I am very lucky.......he does all the cooking!
CONGRATS Ruth! We can't wait to meet you!!!!!

If you are hotsauce lovers than you gotta try Trinidad Charlies Hot Pumpkin Pepper Sauce! It's my fave and it's made right on St John.
Ruth & Ron have bottles of hotsauce out for taste testing. I think they really have them out to laugh at people who take a bit too much to sample and start turning red and sweating, heehee. She should sell mini bottles of milk next to the hotsauce testing area
. She'd make a fortune off the milk!
Seriuosly, I love hotsauce and Ruth's selction is very fine. The best part of her collection is that almost every brand is made in the USVI's.

I can't believe what a Pea Brain I am.
The other day I had a "split shift", which means I worked in the morning, had three hours off, then returned to work at night. I had the whole day planned around my trip to Starfish to check for this magazine.
By the time I went home, watered the plants on the deck, pinched back all the coleus, checked out the new stone sculptures on the beach in Frank Bay, got the car, chatted with the neighbors, picked up the laundry, stopped at the hardware store and Chelsea Drugstore, stopped in to the hobby store to see if they rented guitars (no, but they cost $210 to buy and they have three left) of course it was time to go back to work so I had to speed-shop at Starfish and rush home before the ice cream melted.
I completely forgot to look for the magazine. In fact, I forgot all about it until today when I saw this post.
Thanks for the reminder! I'll try again...If you have the magazine, please save it in case I get sidetracked again and need to have it scanned for our scrapbook.
Well, we don't actually have a scrapbook, but we have a bunch of papers that I will organize into a scrapbook. Someday.
