Windy Level Restaurant?
Windy Level Restaurant?
I was wondering if any of the forumites has checked out Windy Level on Centerline Road, near the clinic. stjohnjulie mentioned something a year ago and it sounded local and tasty.
Any sources for Roti on STJ these days?
Cheers, RickG

Re: Windy Level Restaurant?
I had Roti for lunch today. Check out my Miss Gladie, her cart is in front of One Battery Park Plaza, NYC on Whitehall between Stone and Pearl. Think you can make it on a lunch hourRickG wrote:I was wondering if any of the forumites has checked out Windy Level on Centerline Road, near the clinic. stjohnjulie mentioned something a year ago and it sounded local and tasty.

Yes, it is sad but true, no more Windy Level. If you want to check out local West Indian food you can go to Shela's Pot or now, to Pastory Gardens for Etta's West Indian Cuisine. I believe it is daily (maybe not Sunday...) from 6pm til 9pm. She did West Indian night over at Tamarind Court. There is another place on Moorehead Point, Patrick's, that is really really good. There are a lot of locals that cook, but most of them do it out of their house so it's hard to find them unless you know them personally. The overhead is ridiculous so some of the best cooks on island just do small operations out of their homes. I won't name names, since I'm pretty sure many are "under the table"...Don't want to get anyone in trouble, and don't want to stop getting my good eats!!!
