Who has stayed at Francis Bay Estate?

Post by PA Girl »

We are already planning our 2010 winter trip. Part of the group will be celebrating a big educational milestones and this trip is the parent's graduation gift to him and her gf.

Because they will be getting "real" jobs around the time of the trip, they would like to get the dates set in the short term.

We need 5 bedrooms and are considering Francis Bay Estate based on beach access and apparent equality of the bedrooms.

Who has stayed there?

I remember someone a while back mentioning they stayed there in the summer and broiling on the pool deck.

Any information of the house, its beach access, general location thoughts, etc. is appreciated.

One couple, the grandparents, doesn't want to drive, at all. Being able to walk to the beach is desirable for them and us as we can leave them behind during the day and they can do their own beach thing. They are solitary folk and actually like just walking to the beach for the day by themselves half the trip.

A certain PA husband is being difficult about staying in the "kid" house. PA husband wants to stay at Kallaloo and is being difficult about moving up to Terrahawk.

Part of the problem, such as it is, is that we would be sharing the Terrahawk roof with his (non-driving) in-laws. As much as he likes the ILs, he would like more of a buffer.

He wants us to stay at Kallaloo and ship one of the other couples over to Terrahawk to stay with the in-laws.

Not that I blame him but how can I say to someone else in the group "oh, PA husband likes Kallaloo more and wants you to sleep at the other house with the in-laws he wants to avoid?"

Also, there is the kid issue which he is brushing off as silly and not worth worrying about.

Life with this man is never dull or uninteresting.
