Cptnkirk's day five part two
Cptnkirk's day five part two
Ok where were we, oh yea chillin at Haulover. Well this is now officially Teresa's Beach in our book, we claimed it and thats that. As I'm sitting here typing I just asked Teresa why she liked Haulover so much as she is a Northshore kind of gal. Her reply was because it's kinda private and the water is calm and ya don't have to walk to it. Sounds good to me as I can't wait to get back and snorkel it again, hopefully get north snorkel in next time. We chill a little longer and decide to head back for a little villa time.

Ok we head out of the east end and it occurs to me we haven't seen not even one four legged furry friend. Weird cause we always see something out on the east end, not this time though. Well were headin up centerline right after all the signs and low and behold here comes a goat and her baby running down the road as fast as they can right at us.
I stop the jeep and they fly by us as everyone ooos and ahhs at how cute they are. As they pass us I go what was that and everyone says a goat. I say nope their sheep their tails are down that means their sheep. Everyone says how ya know that and I tell them about Hugo on the board and how we had a sheep/goat discussion. So Hugo was probably right about that herd we seen last trip. So check the tail next time ya see a goat all might not be as it seems. No pics of the sheep as they were high tailin it down the hill. Well we got to see some sheep but no site of donkeys but we still got a long way to go down centerline.
Were starting to get pretty far on centerline when to the left princess yells donkeys. I would have missed them as I was watching the roads. The jeep comes to a screeching halt and we back up. Now these guys were in an open area around a building and there were a couple babies to boot. This was by far our best donkey experience ever on St John. It was awesome watching the babies run around playing not a care in the world as the big guys came for a handout.
Come on theres room for two

After the show we hit Gift Hill road and head down to the villa (boy that road has a few tight steep turns) we could always here tires screech as cars headed up the hill from our villa. We also discovered our villa road came out on Gift Hill road so that cut some time off. Back home safe and sound we still have no power but doesn't stop us from longing around the pool listenin to some tunes as we still have the computer with batteries for now. Andy plays some James Taylor, which is an St John favorite of ours for its relaxing and reflective quality's. A Villa rep shows up and starts the genorator for us and were like cool this is great. This thing seems to be revving pretty fast to me and I say something the rep agrees. Well he throws the switch and we have power YEEEE HAAAAA! That generator evidently gave us a little too much power as smoke starts to roll out of the entertainment console I yell down to shut it off. Oh well he tried. He got a hold of his boss and he came out said the generator was putting out to much juice and he doubted he could find someone to fix it today. We just keep our fingers crossed and hope the electric back soon. Well it doesn't happen so we have burgers on the grill and heat up some instant potatoes on the gas stove and all is good. Not a lot of candles in the villa so Andy and Dawn head for Pine Peace for some candles and Andy being the great drinking buddy he is brings home a litre and 3/4 of Gilbeys vodka that they had back in stock. It even comes in a beach legal plastic bottle! Well no drinkin for this guy after yesterday but theirs always tomorrow. We enjoy are diner talk a little and hit the sack early. I decide to sleep under the stars by the pool as it is a little stuffy inside. I tell ya what, those stars are awesome with no light pollution. Starring at them sure makes ya realize how small ya are in the scheme of things, sleep soon follows and another adventure is around the corner.
Little sunset entertainment from the previous drunk day

Last light of the day until the stars come out
