Ristaba question

Post by djmom »

Ok, I can wait and find out myself, but thought I'd ask!

We are going this week, staying at Ristaba. I just looked it up on Google maps and was surprised how close it is to the Westin.

It looks like there is a little trail from Ristaba or another house that goes right over to the upper Westin villas.

Is this walkable? It looks really close. We have preteens and I was thinking they actually might be able to navigate this alone, with a walkie talkie or phone to keep in touch.

Just maybe.

Is it as close as it looks?

I can already hear them begging to go to the iguana feedings.....

Thx!

It's not far. It's on the first left after the dumpster, a little closer than where we stayed last week, Tesseract. It wouldn't be a far walk to get to the Westin at all, but I imagine that hill up to Rock Ridge Road would be a killer in the hot sun.

what I am trying to figure out if they would be able to do the whole walk on Westin property if they cut thru the trail.

don't think they are ready to go down a real road yet.

or rather I'M not ready for them to do it.

But if they could cut thru the back, it looks like they would be able to go straight down. They would have to cross the street of course.

I have no idea why I am posting this when I will be there in 3 days. I just am not in the mood to pack!!!!

Hello we stayed @ Ristaba in August and I never noticed a trail but I didn't look. If there is one it would be fine I would think because by road it is very close. There is a a 3 legged iguana that comes out to feed at the pool at the house in the afternoon!!

My kids are going to love that. My older daughter has a bearded dragon and is a huge iguana lover.

They are already trying to come up with a name for it.

I have suggested the typical politically uncorrect name (Tripod) but they will have nothing of it.

We didn't see a trail but we also didn't look. We saw the 3 legged iguana when we were there in April but only one time. He was there by the pool when we got there the first time. He looked right at us, then proceeded to pee right in the pool. Then he just walked away. It was so funny! We still refer to him as "lefty" when we talk about it.

Yes he does leave some "things" behind when he goes out to the pool in the PM!!!But you just squirt it off with the hose- my 2 year old referred to him as Iggy- not very creative but he's only 2!!Then he proceeded to ask where he was for the next month or so after we got home!

Hi! We stayed at Ristaba last May and loved it. I did not notice any path to the Westin. The brush around the house was pretty thick. Didn't see the 3 legged guy but every morning we would see a couple of early sunbathers in the tree tops beyond the pool and to the right. The walk down to the Westin would be ok but back up the hill is a bit steep. Have a wonderful time. I don't know if you have ever booked with Lisa before, she is wonderful.
