A few airlines are still vying for the title of the most delayed flight in the USA. According to USA Today, the winner is American Airlines' flight 1267 from Miami to San Juan, which was late 86.7% of the time in October, the latest data available.

What a great record

Doesn't surprise me. After this last trip, I don't just hate flying, I think I hated everybody on that plane. I really don't know if I can do it again.

Maryanne - I can believe that. I also find that the last few times we have flown through San Juan to Miami, we have had to spend the night in Miami before heading back New Orleans.

It's pitiful when you pack your carry on for the return flight planning that you may have to spend the night in Miami!

If it happens again, I don't care how much more it costs, we are flying Delta through Atlanta.

I have flown through Miami a couple of times with no delays other than the very long TSA lines there. San Juan is a totally different animal. I have always had good luck on the way down but the flights were always overbooked on the return and late as the airlines gave you an attitude until somebody gave up their seat, usually 8-10 seats. I will do anything to avoid this airport!
