Recent car barge experience/ Was the wait too long?

We were all set to rent a vehicle on STT, after reading a previous post about only 2 car barges, now rethinking this. Arrive 3:35p STT, after picking up Jeep will we have time to shop for supplies and catch a late ferry? Is there still a 7pm. Thanks in advance. Laurie
