The quiet settles

Post by RickG »

It's a big travel day and a lot of the chatty folks are enroute. Maybe a few less inside jokes today. I know its hard to follow sometimes for new forum folks, but some of the conversations (SOTB & SOTB II, White Trash Report) span years.

I heard from Jorge in Charlotte airport, he was looking for the Canadians - theshopper3 and Larry. I gave him the hint to look for the people wearing mukluks and seal skin parkas.

MrB & MrsB made it to their plane this morning.

I believe that 4 out of 9 SOTB II (Spice on the Beach) girls are enroute. Posh Spice was sighted in the Houston airport. Sporty Spice dropped her badger off at the kennel. It looks like Scary Spice will arrive on Saturday.

The Grannys Gone Wild (formerly Thelma & Louise) have been reported on island.

I'm expecting the "Woohoo" messages to start again about 3:30 this afternoon. Then, its a week of real-time updates as the busy season for forumites begins.

Cheers, RickG

Thanks for the update. This is going to be a really fun weekend, can't wait. I'm off today for a VI holiday and then Jay and I are both off through Monday. WooHoo!!! Meeting Jorge this evening for some cocktails and halloween fun! It's like a mini-vaca so I started early with my version of an island frapuchino, yummy!

We are 100% forumites and have not traveled together before. No newbies and we have three vehicles - but, with the best sunset view on the island and a very private pool deck, villa gravity will be a factor.

See ya soon!

Reading this thread and seeing people check in from paradise almost makes me want to pay extra to get EDGE on my phone so I can check in next week.

Maybe I can send a quick note from Quiet Mon until Kenny catches me and forces me to drink against my will.

I need someone who's staying behind that I can call and let the forum know when we arrive and have surveyed the damage from all y'all arriving the week before me!

Last year, I just told Ruth to post for me. I guess I could do that again! She will be the first person I see, because I have a coffee and grill rub problem.

(Sigh) All these threads are really making me wish we were headed to STJ too...

I am sure a good time will be had by all. I can't wait to read the trip reports.
