History has shown that raising taxes in bad economic times hurts the economy by slowing job growth.
Somebody needs to tell Gov. Palin that. It didn't stop her.

A big aplause to Anthony for letting this thread go on and letting everyone politely vent.

Hasn't it been a rather stressful last week before election day?

Seriously, people I work with are cranky. My kids say the same thing about their work place.

Thanks for letting people vent!

Looks like the Dems put Biden on ice since every time he speaks he gaffes himself into oblivion.
If I'm not mistaken, Sen. Biden is out west solidifying the leads out there. As a matter of fact I saw a poll today which said Sen. McCain's lead in Arizona, of all places, is down to 5%. You can bet they have not cloistered Sen. Biden.

EDIT: My bad he's in Florida today and tomorrow.

You are correct, McCain is not leading in his own home State (as Senator, I believe his family is from a Southern State). That's if we can believe the polls. :?

McCain was born in Panama. That's pretty far south all right. :)

Because he was from a military family, the Hanoi Hilton was the place he lived the longest prior to Arizona.

John McCain’s lead over Barack Obama is down to just five points in his home state of Arizona. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds the Senator leading 51% to 46%.

Well that's good then...There's a strong possibility that Obama was born in Kenya.

Since the polls, pundants and anchors have Mr. Obama leading by great margins and folks like Ms. Couric and Merideath whatshername on Today have announced all but triumph for the democrats because of early voting exit polls, why don't we just call this thing today? We can get past this 2 year long election cycle today and get started on the next election tomorrow morning. Perhaps we can save a weeks worth of devisive campaigning and arguments and get right to it. It is over isn't it? The major networks tell me it is. I haven't heard the exact words spoken but I get the clue that it isn't even worth going to the polls next tuesday. Our next president, congress and senate have only to wait until coronation day.

You keep doing it...you're like my dream opposing witness in a deposition...let them talk enough, get them riled up, and they always let something slip out.

First you call him "boy" and then you go with the Kenya comment. I know, I know...not a racist bone in your body. But, what about your heart?

Keep talking...the hole you're digging is getting deeper. What a hoot.
