Continental...Downsizing Carry-ons effective Nov 1, 2008

Post by Berlingirl »

Don't know if it's been brought up here yet subject wise. This next change was inevitable, with so many people doing carry on only these days in order to avoid paying checked luggage fees, cabins are more crowded than ever. I'm sure if the other airlines haven't made this change yet, it's coming...

For travel on or before Oct 31, 2008 51 linear inches or 130 cm (L + W + H)

For travel on or after Nov 1, 2008 - 45 linear inches or 115 cm (L + W + H)

I think 45 has been the rule on many airlines already. Continental was being generous.

Our rolling carryons from Samsonite and Rick Steves make that cut.
