What happens to Cruz Bay's "homeless" during these

Post by alw1977 »

I put the word homeless in quotes because I don't know if these people are actually homeless or just choose an alternative lifestyle, but there are many well-known folks who hang out at local bars and in/around Cruz Bay. Do any churches or schools open their doors as shelters to take people in during hurricane warnings? Just wondering... I know you can't make people go, but still.

Each island has at least one shelter open as of noon today. It's not just the homeless that have to worry. Several people live in homes that aren't exactly the safest to be in during a hurricane...but people who are in need tend to find people who are willing to open their homes.

The Moravian church has traditionally offered shelter. Any designated place in Cruz Bay?
