What weather sites are you using to monitor the hurricane?

State of Emergency has been declared. We will be under curfew starting at 6pm tonight. They have predicted that it will be a category 2 when it passes by around 2am.

I'm getting the same reports, from several good sources. It s*#ks that it's hitting in the middle of the night.

We'll be thinking of you all...keep us posted as much as possible.

I saw a note on another site that someone was going to get a tetanus shot before the fun started, he was way out of date. He mentioned that he needed tetanus protection after Lenny.

Jay and I both got tetanus shots before we left the states in Jan, just in case. I guess that was a good move.

hurricane omar

we were unable to get into the westin so we're staying at the house. They are going to close all the shutters and we,ll only be abl to open the front door. we have buckets of water to flush the toilets after they shut off the electric. But, we,re taking precautions and started drinking early. If the food runs out we have enough wine and rum and tequila to get us through.

This graphic was put together by a BVI source using latest data giving a best guess on how close Omar will come and what kind of sustained winds likely to hit. Lets hope it stays east. South shores will get clobbered with the clockwise rotation.
