Just chiming in to say CONGRATULATIONS! Since my kids are adopted, I never experienced the morning sickness, but I hope all the advice given helps you to feel better. Won't it be great when you can let everyone outside of the "Forum Family" know??

I had the all day sickness.

Sorry to say nothing really cured it but I found eating hot and spicy stuff (which I love) turned it down a few notches. I also kept a supply of hand ginger candy on hand at all times. I am still finding wrappers in coats and such.

For me, it really effected my life. I described it to my husband as the worst hangover queasiness you ever had that never goes away.

Thanks again for all the advice...I'm trying everything...and today has actually been better. I actually ate a real lunch! I'm paying for it a little bit now, but that's ok, at least I got some good calories down.

Tracy, yes, I can't wait to tell! We're visiting our parents tomorrow, and it's going to be so tough to keep it a secret.

Had it with both of mine. See if you can determine what food makes you sick. My first was EVERTHING so I actually took meds because I was sooo sick. The second was anything with sugar. Stopped sweets & no problem. Also helped to gain only 19lbs :).
Now, I would try the motion sickness wrist bands you can get at any drug store. I have used them for motion sickness for the past 23 years..yes that lovely second pregnancy left me with permanent motion sickness!! She has it also so I guess it is fair. I have heard it works for morning sickness. It seems like they would me two different issues but it is worth a try. They look like hair scruncies on your wrist. Not a fashion statement but I never leave home (for travel) without them.

Congrats!! Hope you are feeling better soon! I was lucky and didn't get morning sickness with my son. I do have a few friends that had it something awful though. Something that worked with two of them is lemon...not eating it, smelling it. I guess in a lot of cases the sickness is brought on by a smell. All of your membranes are kind of thinned out and you can become extremely sensitive to smell, sometimes it might be so slight of a smell that your brain doesn't even register it as a smell. One friend noticed the only time she felt ok was when she would was dishes...then we figured out it was the lemon scented dish soap that was actually doing the trick. Try burning a lemon scented or ginger scented candle and see if that helps. I know you are feeling bad now, but try to remember to enjoy every minute of your pregnancy. It is really an amazing experience! CONGRATS AGAIN!
