My wife is always saying that I should open a restaurant. I sent her a link to the Donkey Diner Craigslist listing, and she kind of backed off.

...something about getting the boys through college...

I have to say this is one of my faborite places on earth! I am so sorry to hear this, the couple that owns it are so nice to talk to on vacation. It's a laid back funky place with the best pizza (not to mention great breakfasts!)

They are the 3rd owners in the past 6 years. Hopefully somebody keeps it going. Everything is for sale on STJ right now.

Can't say that I do. I remember it as M&M's Donkey Diner, owned by two guys, then it changed a couple of times. We always have at least one breakfast and one pizza night a week from them when we're in Coral Bay. For awhile, after Pickle's closed, there wasn't any place else on that side of the isle for breakfast.

Think we shall stop in and give her a try in November if she's still open. Don't think it's a good time to be startin a business on St John right now :( Maybe all this turmoil will drop realestate prices on Island and I could afford a shack on .05 acres
