Typical - liberals always feed off the misfortune and misery of others. That is how they get elected.

How'd the Badgers do this weekend? Oh.

We all have different thoughts and opinions and that is one of the greatest things about this online community. We need to remember to be respectful.

BTW- Liamsaunt posted her trick for poaching an egg on the Food porn thread....check it out

These kinds of conversations online don't do anyone any good. You are not going to change anyone's mind. All you will accomplish is hurt feelings.

I look forward to continuing to talk with all of you about beautiful beaches, soft sand, and good snorkeling. We have a deep love St. John in common, and I think we should focus on that instead.

Just my opinion. Now I am going to go make dinner, and I am not going to open this thread again. Carry on! :D

Well. it was satisfying to click that button---although I'm a U.S. citizen I've never been able to vote for president, since I'm a Virgin Islander.
Not too much doubt who St. John is for, is there?
I've just deleted a long diatribe on abortion, population, greed in its many forms, American arrogance, real estate and Palin, not quite in that order.
You are lucky not to read it.

I'll just say for years I always thought I was a democrat because socially I don't really care what people want to do with their personal lives as long as they aren't hurting anyone and both parties like to push those issues to the forefront to either get votes or avoid issues that really affect every one of us. But... fiscally I am a republican. I think the two party system sucks. My eyes were opened this year. Lots of people roll their eyes or make fun of Ron Paul supporters but I agree mostly with his ideals and he doesn't mince words and has unwavering convictions. I want less government and to keep more of my money in my possession. Working 20-80% of the year just to pay taxes is ridiculous. I get very little return on my "investment" in the government and I don't trust them to manage my money not for retirement, not for health care. I'll be voting for someone I believe in and not the lesser of two evils this time and it will feel good.
When will I see St John again?

The pain, living in a mixed household we don't talk about this a lot. My 11 year old has a school assignment to watch the VP debate Thursday night. This will end in blood shed in our house.

Whats up with the Brew Crew?
The constitution makes no mention of fetuses...that's kind of the point.

Not a Badger fan, not a Brewers fan.

And, Soxfan, I actually hope the Red Sox do well because Ron is a Bosox fan.

(All kidding aside...and regardless of which lever you pull...or which bubble you fill in...remember to do it folks. Good, bad, beautiful and ugly...the United States is STILL the best country in the whole wide wonderful world! And...if for no other reason...we owe it to those who bravely and honorably protect us!!! )
