How about some new dining reviews???

Post by Anthony »

Hey everyone - January has been quiet on the dining reviews front - how about leaving some new ones?

Hey Anthony,

What about a travel calendar, like the ones I've seen on other forums? That way, we can keep track of who is staying where, when.

I'd like a review of Fish Trap. Fish Trap and Stone Terrace have been putting out great food for years. Fish Trap is my favorite-simple presentations of different varieties of the freshest fish (wahoo, escolar, etc)and terrific grouper sandwiches.
They have been winning awards for years, but one of Frank Barnako's(sp?) podcasts said the the guy responsible for pushing all that great food out, Aaron Willis-2006 Best Chef in the VI winner, is no longer in the kitchen. Apparently the rest of the crew is pretty much the same, but how are they doing without Aaron?

I've eaten at the Fish Trap since Aaron's departure, and I think they are doing great. They have diversified their menu to include some Thai dishes, and they were planning on getting a lobster tank for both cold water and Caribbean lobster. I think the restaurant is headed in a great direction.
