More Danes to visit STJ?

Post by Gromit »

How is it that Delta can start an extra flight for Norwegians and Danes but we've got actual Americans having a hard time getting to the USVI?

Interesting article though...

Yet, I couldn't get my normal Nashville - Atlanta - St. Thomas route this year.

And, the airlines wonder why they can't make money.

To me, this sounds very good. It's practically impossible today, to travel to USVI/BVI from Scandinavia without an overnight in the US. Not that we are that big crowd, but anyway.

I think that Delta is timing their Atlantic flight, so that it's possible to connect in Atlanta to STT. Or is the flight from ATL to STT new? In that case, there are many that could use that one (not just Danes  ).

When I travel next month, I will go from Stockholm to London and then to JKF on Day 1. Stay there overnight and continue Day 2 to STT. It's such a long travel time. The only good thing with stopping in the US, is that it helps you adjust a little with the time difference (6 hours).

Yes, a new ATL-STT flight arriving at night. It will leave in the morning to Atlanta similar to the late flight on AA that comes in at night from Miami.

That's very good. I guess there aren't many flights (except the AA you mentioned) leaving for STT late afternoon from the US mainland.

It's easier to get to SJU late in the afternoon, but then it's impossible to reach STT the same day, so you get an overnight there instead. We have done that too.

I think it's kind of cool!! Maybe instead of going home after I go to STJ I can catch a flight to Sweden or Denmark for the holidays ;-)

I miss Sweden and Denmark! I have really great childhood memories of both countries especially around Christmastime!

Yes, just come on over and relive some momories. All our lights around Christmas, is much needed in the dark.
