Connection times out of San Francisco

Post by bubblybrenda »

:?: I've been a lurker for a while now and finally realized that someone on here could probably help me with my dilemma.

I have been hesitating booking my flight. I want to use Expedia as no agent up here can compete price-wise.

My plan is to fly United out of Vancouver, BC to San Francisco. Flight arrives San Fran 9:26 PM and departs 10:10 PM. Arriving in Terminal 3, departing out of Terminal 3.

#1) Is that sufficient connection time being it's the same terminal?

#2) If my inbound flight was delayed and I miss my departure out of San Fran. does anyone know what my remedy would be? Will United put me on the next flight at their expense or being that I booked off Expedia is it my responsibility (given that perhaps I didn't allow enough connection time)?

Thanks for any assistance anyone can give to me.

Brenda, that's pretty tight. You'd need to be an optimist to make that attempt, and checked bags would likely arrive behind you. I would prefer to book directly with the airline so that they are responsible for any delays.

How about trying to arrive earlier in San Francisco?

Thanks for your feedback.

I called United who assures me the San Fran connection is "valid". I find it a bit hard to believe myself but have decided that I'm going to book directly with United rather than take my chances on Expedia. If there are delays then United can look after the hassle of it all.
