Good news about John Head rd, I was in Catherinberg recently and they had a bull dozer grading the rd. It was very smooth from Centerline to Wattapama which is the turn off to Anole and La Jolla Caribe etc. They were working their way down to N Shore rd. Hopefully it will last at least until the fal...

Equal bedrooms is probable out. We have had at least that many in Casa Luna and La Jolla Caribe. It will be tough to please that many people with one villa.
Good luck

We think N Shore has the best views of the best beaches and the BVI. We liked Upper Carolina also, Casa Luna was large and roomy.
La Jolla Caribe has the best views and can sleep a lot of people.
Anole had 4 bedrooms

Lots of choices, so little time!

We like a mixture. Usually with the family crowd it is too much effort to eat out most meals. Frankly a bowl of corn flakes and cup of coffee for breakfast with the great villa views of sunrise and a sandwich and beer at our favorite mid day beach is more enjoyable than clean up, dress, drive, eat, ...

We love this beach and area. This is one of the rare properties actually on a beach so if that is a priority go for it. My one caution is the NoSeeUms. We often like to end our days on this beach, the cottage is just off the beach in the trees and when our little winged friends arrive in the evening...

We have used Dennis Powell to take us to and from La Jolla Caribe in Catherinberg, one of the roads that some taxis will not go down. He is very dependable and always on time.

Good Luck

I have used ATT a lot on St John. I usually rent in Catherinberg and if you look at the ATT coverage map the N Shore is the only dead area. Att assured me with my no roaming plan as long as I was in VI I would not be charged....boy did we rack up several hundred $ of roaming. you get a great signal ...

I always prefer the CA ferry when ever I can make it. I can not wait to get out into the sea breeze. It is exciting to watch for your first glimpse of STJ as you round the STT points.... I miss getting my wife the rum punch while we wait for the RH fairy though. She is a hoot with a little rum and s...

We've stayed at La Jolla Caribe a number of times. It's great for large family and friends; it's 5 bedrooms, but the media room has 2 futons and can serve as a sixth.

Frozen Meat loaf is always a favorite. Frozen steaks, lasagna, enchiladas, meatballs (the spaghetti and sauce is easy), hamburger pattis, some Creole dishes, some chinese food that can be prepared and stir fried there. Costco has some pretty good premade and frozen dinners. bag sallads are nice ( th...

We have rented many times on STJ and we always bring a ton of food. We have a large family and like to eat at the Villa, we usually stay at La Jolla Caribe which has a big kitchen with all we need to cook and an incredible out door dining area over the N Shore...we can't find a better view in a rest...
