The fish with the spot is a Mutton snapper and the other one looks like a Bar jack.

I'm very excited for you. Wish you the best of luck and I hope that everything works out perfectly. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Hopefully the weather will be perfect. Wait a minute, we're going to be in the BVI's too :D . Hope to get to see you guys if you sail somewhere near VG.

Shoemak38 - yes, very nice with 4 days off :D Becky, I think Sue meant Easter Carnival on Virgin Gorda. That's on Easter Day. Yes Sue, I need a ticker. I'm actually going to STJ in November, so I need to fix a signature ticker. And thanks, I'd like a blue chair  . The only good thing with trave...

Re: 4 night villa rental - next April

:D wow, already looking for next year! Next year Easter is very late, just take that into consideration. It might affect minimum number of nights.

I have no idea about villas. Sorry!

See you soon :D

Re: Good Friday and Alcohol

No alcohol in bars or stores until I think 4pm (or 6 pm) in the BVI's. We were unaware of that rule two years ago, but got informed about it while lunching in Virgin Gorda. Somehow my husband got a beer anyway (served in a plastic cup iso of a bottle). That might have been an exception.

Re: Need help ID'ing some fish

They are in the same family, but not the same fish. I can see when I google that the Pluma sometimes is called Pluma Porgy.

It's a bit hard to see the last one, but I guess Graysby or Rock Hind.

Re: Low Cost Villas

Jim, we stayed here http://wintermoonstjohn.com/ in May a few years ago (when we met and had dinner at Shipwreck) and we loved it. Great price, new and fresh and very well eqipped. The owners are very nice. It's located in Coral Bay.

Re: Looking for Beachvilla for Parental leave 100USD?

You are going to love Mangobay resort and being right on the beautiful beach of Mahoe bay. The snorkeling there is great (towards the right of the beach) and swimming is also perfect. Wish I could spend a month or more on wonderful Virgin Gorda. Maybe you can check out Guavaberry Spring bay vacation...

Re: Pic's Pics & Report - August 2012

Great report and stunning pictures! Love the spotted cleaner shrimp.

I'm pretty sure that's a pipehorse. I saw one in Mexico, outside playa del Carmen, but that one was brown.

Thanks for taking the time to write the report and sharing your wonderful pictures!

Great photos. Love the green turtle with sidekicks and the chain moray and thr squid and the scorpionfish and ....

I'm so glad you had such great weather. You have had your share of rain in previous trips and the water is so much clearer when there is no rain.
