Fantastic photos. What kind of camera? I'm assuming you are a professional photographer, if not, you could be. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Marcia,
It's nice to hear from old friends from the AOL board days. One year perhaps we can all have a big reunion in STJ. It was a pleasure to see Ruth & Ron, as well as Marie Pohlman last year at the Beach Bar. Hi to Pete from me! Hope all is well.

st john condos

Hi, I havent posted here for some time, but I lurk from time to time  . Anyway, last December we stayed at Lavender Hill and were satisfied, but I remember hearing (from Ruth, Hi Ruth!) about another place, further up the hill from town, then you turn left. Does anyone know the name? We're ...

Jost

Hi Toni, I can definitely relate to your recent battle with nausea on the trip to Jost. Last Wednesday we did a trip on the Calypso and I was not feeling well at all on the way there. I did eat at Foxy's, and it was very good, and the way back to STJ was much better. It's a lousy feeling when you se...

Tage

Hi Betty, Tage was our best meal(on & off island) for 2 years in a row. They are rather expensive, entrees in the $34 range, but outstanding. Appetizers in the $15 range. I had an appetizer of scallops that were excellent, my wife and I both had seafood entrees. I had tuna, and she had a mahi sp...

Back to reality

Doreen & I just returned from a wonderful week in STJ. It was our 10th or 11th visit in 14 years, so I guess you could say we love it there. After staying at the Westin all the previous times, we stayed at Lavender Hill this time and were quite happy with it. Our favorite resturants on this vis...

Ferry Service to STJ

Hi everyone, I know I could probably find out this information if I search, but everyone loves a new post, and everyone loves to be helpful, so here's my question. This will be the first year that we aren't staying at the Westin, and therefore, not using their ferry service. I think I would prefer t...

I dont think St John even existed when I honeymooned 31 years ago!! Just kidding of course, but I would've loved to see it back then. I do enjoy all the restaurant choices we have now, though.
Is there anyone out there who can do a time warp for me and describe the island in 1975?

The $10,000 a week part got me thinking. That certainly would narrow it down quite a bit as to which villa, no? Wayyyy out of my price range. :D

You can register with Travelocity and they will inform you via email every time the fare goes down. You can also check the airlines individually to see what fares they offer. You can usually get a better deal if you have flexibility in your dates. If you post more specific information(dates, airport...

We have settled on early to mid December, before the high season prices kick in. The past 2 years, there were snowstorms her in NJ while we were in paradise. Previously, we had visited in June(not bad) and August(minimal hurricane). This will be our 10th consecutive year. :D

Tage

Last December we had our best meal at Tage. Is everything still the same there? I thought I had read about the chef leaving.
