Its not on your list but Jazz Villa has 3 bedrooms (4 actually - but you can avoid the outside entrance one), has a great pool, pretty nice view by STJ standards (unbelievable for anywhere else) and is very easy to get to in Chocolate Hole. Its not the fanciest of villas - it may be a step below the...

Charlotte Amalie, is it pronounced "ah-mal-ia" ?? That one always gets me because I know the proper way its pronounced but I'm always afraid I'm going to say it wrong and sound stupid. Even though I know its not A-mah-lay, I always feel like I'm going to say it that way. So, I end pausing...

We just stayed at Jazz Villa and liked it well enough. It is not the most luxurious place, but for our purposes, it did just fine. The layout is very efficient and the pool and pool deck are great. We had a 10 month old an 8 month old, and 3 older kids not quite 4, 5 and 8. Its generally kid friendl...

I don't know how I'd feel starting my kids out at the top and have them say "where is the real beach?" when all I could swing is Delmarva this year. Funny you say that....we have taken our son down to St. John twice now and he just turned 4. We also go down to Rehoboth Beach every summer....

I don't think the Westin Ferry goes from Crown Bay anymore. At least it didn't in December 09' - it left from Yacht Haven. The reason that was significant to us was that we purposely packed carry on to run to make the 12:15 ferry only to find out that because it was going from Yacht Haven, we had no...

My mother has had previous bouts with skin cancer and was very concerned about the shade. We rented an umbrella at Cinammon for $7 and didn't need one at Maho or at Trunk as we found more than sufficient shade there. With every beach, the earlier you get there, the more likely you'll have your pick ...

Great report Suzi. I think there's a very good chance that my wife met your husband and daughters at Maho this year (that is, if they go to school in NYC, that is). If that is the case, We vacation in the same place in the summer as you guys do - I think my wife was scoping out some babysitters for ...

We just stayed at Jazz Villa with our kids who are the same age as yours as well as my nieces and nephew. It may be bigger than you need but its not so pricey (obviously depending on your budget). You are right off South Shore road so while not staying on the North Shore, the ride to the beaches isn...

I don't care whether you're a smoker or not, don't leave your garbage on the beach! (Or anywhere except in a trash can.) An unintended consequence, perhaps, of the ban is...
