If you bring snacks, I would DEFINITELY put them in something the mongooses (or is that mongeese :? ) can't get too. When we were at Waterlemon, my sister and I sat not far off from the shore watching them rip through my other sister and her husband's food. We cracked up the entire time. She had bee...

Hey California Girl - you KNOW I am not a wuss - that hill is more like a mountain to me (O: I did the hike to Ram Head fine but it was not straight up like that. You should see us going up that hill after doing the Ram Head hike every time in the heat of the day because we always end up there at th...

You are crazy
Ina - when looking at those pics I said to myself, surely she's not going to Salt Pond or Waterlemon with ALL of that stuff...and your were!!!! I only lug everything to the close ones like Maho, Hawksnest and Cinnamon. There's no way I would carry that much down to Salt Pond but then again I am only...

I understand but...
I understand the need to do all of this, but I feel bad for alot of the retailers that are gonna lose out because of this. On our local news last night, they were showing an airport shop that sells Tobasco products; his sales were down by half yesterday. Pipanale - you may want to ask your local gro...

I can relate
Ina,
Your pics of you and all of the gear you lugged cracked me up and brought back alot of memories. For some reason I am always the one that ends up carrying everything to and from the beach and I must look just like you do in those pics.
Thanks for the laughs,

I have to agree with Bob & Anita
Until our first trip to St. John, we loved going to Destin and surrounding areas on the Florida panhandle because the beaches and the water were so beautiful. Since our trips to STJ, we have only been back to Florida once (this past Easter to Navarre Beach) and it just doesn't compare partially beca...

4 door
I was talking about the 4 door. We had a Vitara that was similar in size to the Escape. When we were there with our group of 17 a few summers ago, they all rented from Cool Breeze and had Liberties and one Grand Vitara - we liked the Escape and the Grand Vitara much better than the Liberties because...

Go with two
If you can afford it, DEFINITELY go with two cars/jeeps over just one because with six people it is doubtful that you will all want to be going the same place at the same time. One thing we found about the Liberties is that the front seats are high so it's hard to see out of the back seat through th...

Courtesy Car Rental
We have used both Conrad Sutton and Courtesy Car Rental and were fine with both but opted for Courtesy the third go around. We liked the location of their lot better for parking, and they were exceptionally nice (not that Conrad Sutton wasn't). The last time we were there, they let us store our bags...
