Flying out of EWR?

United has a flight from our home airport in Indiana to EWR and then on to St Thomas. The price and times are really good but I am a little hesitant because I know nothing about EWR. It has a 1 hour and 17 minute layover....is that doable? We usually fly out of Detroit but want to avoid the 2 1/2hr ...

Skinny Legs $50 gift cert.....

Our daughter surprised us at Christmas with a $50 gift certificate to Skinny Legs. Unfortunately, due to my husbands illness we had to cancel our vacation plans. Would anyone be interested in buying it?

Re: Suzuki Jimny

We use to rent the Suzuki Sidekick....smaller than a jeep but plenty big enough for just 2 people. I assume the Jimny is comparable in size. Easier to drive and park and had plenty of space in the back for all your beach stuff. And it's cheaper to rent. Bonus!!!!

Have to Cancel our April trip......

Unfortunately, due to my husbands illness, we sadly have to cancel our trip.
We do have trip insurance, but just wanted to let you all know that beautiful Kachi Ra is now available for April 14 thru 24, 2016. Hope someone can take advantage of this great last minute cancelation....

Oh my goodness....we have used Hospitality in the past and had no issues. Are we talking about Thomas? Or has someone else taken over for him?

Re: New 12.5% Hotel Tax on Existing Reservations

Just rec'd an email from Andrea Chouiniere owner of Kachi Ra where we will be staying in 174 days. She just wanted to let me know that they would NOT be passing on the tax increase. IMO that is good business and most appreciated. We booked our stay with them over a year ago but they still could have...

Re: Splitting a Trip Between 2 Villas?

While I have never done it myself, you have 2 small children, and packing up all their "stuff" and moving mid-trip sounds like a lot of extra work. Plus, after a few days, we always get in a routine and with little kids that is an important part. Just my two cents!!

Re: Cruz Views: Questions About 2 Bedroom Condos?

I don't know your dates but check out Captains View. Its a 2 bedroom with fabulous views and a small shared pool. We stayed at Harbour View last year which is under Captains View. Its close to town, and yet, very quiet. Plus, BJ Harris was an absolute joy to work with. We loved it!!

Re: Lavender Hill

Last May we stayed at Harbour View which is below Captains View. BJ Harris, the owner, is an absolute delight to work with. It is very close to town and the sunset views are amazing. After more than 20+ yearly trips to St.John we were very, very happy at Harbour View. Captains View is a 2 bedroom wi...

Re: Bathroom remodeling ideas

We remodeled our master bath 2 yrs ago. Took out the bathtub and replaced it with a huge walk in shower w/full length bench seat. Our glass doors are also seamless and swing both ways (safety issues). I love them and so far no problems of any kind. We did pay to have them professionly installed. The...

Not a villa but a condo....Harbour View thru St John Properties has an awesome view of Cruz Bay over to St Thomas. BJ is an absolute pleasure to work with. It has a shared pool with Captains View and both are well below your budget. We have been coming to St John for almost 20 yrs and Harbour View h...

Re: Most Overrated / Most Underrated

Under-rated: St John sunsets. Getting an early start & being the only 2 souls on Maho for the first hour. Scoring one of the very few "free" parking spots in downtown Cruz Bay. BBC's......my new favorite!! Over-rated: Skinny's - Horrible, horrible service - as in - the place was not ev...
