If you are returning to STT for an airport departure in the next few weeks --- go earlier than planned in case this glitch causes a backup.

Re: Restaurant attire

I learned the same hat wearing etiquette from my Grandfather who was never outside without his stylish and well worn fedora.
It was resting by his side in his casket and went with him to heaven I am sure.
He once told us St Peter wouldn't recognize him if he showed up at the Gate without it.

Re: Senatorial candidate

I do understand there is a 'write in' option.
It would have to be an incredible effort and campaign to overcome having just one name on the ballot.

Re: Senatorial candidate

For those of you who are not familiar with our Legislature - 7 Senators from STT - 7 Senators from STX and 1 at Large Senator who must reside on STJ but the At large Senator is the ONLY candidate voted on by all residents of the USVI and is a very strong position.

Senatorial candidate

I just came back from voting in our local election and was very disappointed to see that only 1 person on STJ was running for the very important Senator at Large - I am certainly not demeaning that individual at all -- but to think that only one resident of STJ cares enough to make an effort to repr...

I generally find a visit to Salt Pond helps when I read his website. But the pics here do speak for themselves.

Re: BVI boat charter news

Sailing in BVI waters is different than Stopping in BVI waters -- the 1st stop must be to clear C&I - for example sailing up Drakes Passage to circumnavigate STJ you will be in BVI waters along the way tacking upwind - you do not have to stop in West End and tell them you are doing that.

BVI boat charter news

Effective yesterday all visitors by sea to the BVI must now present themselves In Person at Customs and Immigration. Since the same requirement is enforced in STJ on return this should be no big surprise - it will however cut way into your time on charter, especially on the bigger multi-passenger ve...
