Agree - and I would have felt a LOT more guilty with some ol' sparklie thing - lol. Can't wait to see that villa and all of its new goodies. Hubs and I are going to try to check it out in April if we can. There's a very pretty beach at the end of the road where it's located, too.

One from the 'way back machine...I was just a child, I'm amazed they even let me into the place... Raffles Restaurant at Compass Point, with Gray-Gray-Gray playing the grand piano among all of his stuffed bears. First having their bacon-wrapped filet stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese...and then lingeri...

Another Act of Complete Self-Indulgence by MargyZ

Yep, I booked another trip in June. I’m going through this awful dental work right now and feeling very whiny and sorry for myself and it was either this or shop for some ultra sparklie thing (like maybe a silver BMW – that’s about how sorry I’m feeling for myself). And my girlfriend Kathy is going ...

I've run into it and think it's nuts, too. I was told by a villa management company owner who rents whenever to whenever that they actually like those short breaks between bookings because then they can get their maintenance people in to do the things that need doing and can't be done during a tight...

Nice pix, dejavu, although it looks like you had some hazy weather. Isn't it interesting how subjective travel is? My first trip to Ireland I was convinced I would never return, ancestors be damned. I finally returned and totally fell in love with the island. Ireland was still there but I was in a d...

OK, haven’t really been here for a while but this is an interesting thread. We’ve spent a lot of time on all 3 islands and enjoy each in its own way. Salud Bistro, very near to The Palms. The restaurant at the Palms is very nice, too. On the east end: Mahi's at Chenay Bay, Topside, Duggan's Reef, Blue Water Terrace, The Cultured Pelican, Deep End Bar & Grill, The Galleon, Good Spirits BBQ. At Cane Bay: Off the Wall, eat@Cane Bay (great reggae...

Dctac – that’s what I was getting a in my previous post. To me, it’s a customer service issue. The management company charges the owner for their services to manage the property but they also earn a commission for the rental. Assuming they represent more than one property I would think it is in thei...

I don't get the mgt cos blaming the owners to guests for not enough towels, pest control, whatever, and then NOT just taking care of the guest (getting some quick exterminating done, providing more towels, beach chairs, pool chaises, a WiFi router, or whatever the guest needs that is not at the vill...

Anna, For a villa, the Cane Bay area might work for you – it’s far north shore, more to the western end. From there, you can take Route 69 (River Rd) south to 70 (Centerline Rd) and head west into F’sted. It’s going to be difficult to get a villa close to F’Sted. In Cane Bay, I’ve toured the villa P...
