VaDavid, We took the trail that leads down by the Virgin Islands National Park sign just past Estate Lindholm. It was an easy, shaded hike down, but it was definitely a hike back up. At least it was in the shade and not straight up (like Salt Pond's hill). Lauren at Estate Lindholm said that was th...

In our villa pool! Bob and Anita, I am so jealous of you. Raised as a Catholic (no longer!) New Englander, the guilt is just so strong, I don't know if I can do the nekkid beach thing. Man, I would like to, though... Bob grew up in MA and Anita in NE - I guess we don't have too much guilt - especia...

Beware of Bob and your Caribs.
It may not be safe to leave Caribs in the cooler if Bob is around - just kidding . We have always felt safe leaving our stuff on the beach.

We agree with the other poster; it is very hard to tell the beginning of a post because of the line. Even when you know the format, your brain is telling you different.

Re: Liquids
We understand that you can carry liquids on, but only those you buy after going through security, which doesn't help in STT since the duty free shop is outside of security . You can't even take liquids bought in the "safe areas" on the plane, according to this update on the USAir website:...

Secret Harbour confirmations
Our experience is that their online reservation system is not integrated with their reservation computer system. We think someone has to manually take your online request and enter it into the computer system. They will eventually send you a confirmation email (few days) and mail (couple weeks) you ...

Prescription Masks - Our Experience
We purchased a prescription mask for our son from Joe Diver America, which we like as an online retailer for our snorkel gear. Here is a link to their prescription mask: http://www.joediveramerica.com/page/JDA/PROD/msk/Corrective Our son really like the mask; it was a good quality mask and never lea...

You are right - apples & oranges
Both places are very nice in their own ways. For one, the seafood on the Cape is so much better then in the Virgin Island - steamed lobsters, lobster rolls, Wellfleet oysters and cherrystones, fresh bakes cod, fried clams, steamer, etc. Our initial comment was actually referring to swimming in the o...

STJ spoils you
We just got back from a week on Cape Cod visting Bob's parents. We been going there for years, but after visiting STJ the last two years the Cape wasn't the same. We still had lots of fun but STJ really spoils you.
