We were told the smell was because the mangrooves were exposed and not underwater???? behind the dumpster...

It was quite noticeably worse the beginning of our trip in June than at the end...or maybe we just got accustomed to it, if that is possible....

were they underwater completely this trip??

We picked Coral Bay for our first stay and it was the correct choice for us. I loved being 10 minutes from Maho/Francis, 10-15 from Salt Pond/Lamashur, 5-10 minutes from Vie's, and the view on drive to the other North Shore beaches is so nice it doesn't seem to take that long. I know some locations ...

but I cannot imagine walking much less running 8 Tuff miles.....
