How fun! Love the pics! I'm curious about how much "change" a trip like this might cost? My big 60 is right around the corner and hubby says no traveling so I might have to go alone or find a friend to share my happy place but definitely on a pared down budget! He says he's not going back ...

Sun, Moon and Stars is wonderful and very romantic (1 BR, very private)! Villa Jumbie (2BR) was very nice too. Probably about the same price range.

It's always been Maho for us: beautiful beach, easy access, calm water for our first snorkel and lots to see! Wish I was going there today!!

On October 10 there was a lot right off of Blue Cobblestone. After hiking to Ram's Head I got in to cool off, but the seaweed was gross. There was a little at Trunk and some at White Bay Beach on Jost, but not too much at either of those places. I don't remember seeing it before either.

Nancy, we loved SMS. It was 2 years ago, but I think several improvements have been made: hot tub, remodeled shower, etc. The views are to die for, it was clean, bed was comfy, great outdoor sound system. I would stay there again in a heart beat! I have a review on here.

Must be the Food Center I'm thinking of - on the left right before the car barge in a little shopping area. We never check bags so shouldn't need to wait. I think we will just run into the Food Center (or whatever it is). Thanks so much for the input!

Is it cheaper to purchase rum at the duty free shop at the airport or at the cost u less in Red Hook? I like a little toddy for the car barge to celebrate our arrival and I think one of them has no bar, correct? If it's at the airport how do you get there after deplaning? Thanks!

Kevin, please keep us posted! I'm hoping the dust will dissipate by Wednesday or Thursday, but, like everyone else, prefer the dust to rain and storms!
