I'd lather up / cover up regardless of the time of year. The sun's intensity doesn't vary as much seasonally on STJ since they're much closer to the equator. A mask is something you should purchase in person, whether on the mainland or on STJ. It's the only way you will get one that fits properly and is comfortable.

Low Key has a decent selection and is priced fairly IMO.

Here's what we do. Soft sided cooler packed with food goes inside large wheeled duffel bag.
