Re: Alert
As a dive instructor I see it all the time. People don't listen and a great many do not care. Sad.

Re: Day trip to Tortola
Did it a lot when I lived there. Customs is no issue. Just have your passport ready and it should be a breeze. When you return to St John, the same. You have 1 form to complete and they will give it to you at the ferry dock before you leave. Tortola is nice....if you want a Jeep for the day, rent fr...

Two Sandals By The Sea is a lovely little b & b right near Red Hook. I lived there, for a month, when I relocated to the island. Owners are lovely, the breakfast excellent and it is a very short walk to Red Hook.

Sapphire is very nice with a lovely beach. Bluebeards Beach is excellent as well but I think their restaurant is only breakfast and lunch. There rooms do have full kitchens and its a very shot drive to a good grocery. Plus they have a water sports facility there. Frenchman's Reef is also very nice.

Re: First Rent a Car - St Thomas
Once, and over a holiday weekend at last minute. They had a nice car, picked me up at airport, picked me off at airport, and were very nice to deal with. It has been 2 years though. MY go to is Zip Car Rental, known them forever.

Re: Trip Report
Try a dive next time, go out with Aqua Marine in St Thomas/ They will pick you up at ferry dock, have top of the line equipment and are great folks. St Thomas actually has some of the best vis in the Caribbean and very nice diving. Aqua Marine always goes to the less crowded sites. I was a dive inst...

Perfect spot for those with money, and pretty, always makes the list. Doesn't hurt that most feel they haven't really left the US. Rock on St John, rock on!

Re: Best ticker check when it says today! And cruise ship ?
Having lived on St Thomas and St John I can tell you the majority of the cruiser will not come to St John. I always went to Solomen Beach anyway, but you should be fine, stay away from Trunk for sure. Enjoy!
