Re: 7 Day Itinerary suggestions for 1st time visit

I agree with so many recommendations, but my number one is DINGHY DAY. There is no substitute.

Re: your most favorite moment on the rock...

Thank you for sharing, everyone. These are all touching and personal. My favorite moment is getting married to my sweet husband Marc on Trunk Bay at sunset on Christmas Eve...almost 15 years ago...by the incredible and one-of-a-kind Anne Marie Porter. I cried my eyes out, but have never been happier...

Re: Pic's Pics & Report - August 2012

This is a perfect report with simply awesome photos. I'm looking for a good deal on a D-20, and hope to share some pics with you folks later this year. Thanks, Pic!

Trunk Bay

We were married in Trunk Bay, but I'm not sure we will visit (other than looking at it via the overlook) on our upcoming 15th Anniversary trip for all of the reasons you and others offer up. The last couple of times we've been there it has been overcrowded and not nearly as fun for us as the many ot...

Palm Tree Charters Share in mid Dec?

Anyone interested in sharing a charter Dec. 13, 14 or 15? It's just two of us, and this is our return anniversary trip (we were married here 15 years ago and return every few years from Calif.). We're big snorkelers, love JVD and painkillers. :-)

First visit advice

I agree with the others...relax and have fun. The only other advice I'd share is rent a dinghy to explore snorkel spots you'd otherwise not be able to access.

STJ tee shirts

I had two, but recently downsized to my favorite "I'd Rather be on STJ" olive green tee shirt, which I believe I purchased on the Forum 5 years ago. :-)

What I have WAY too many of, for whatever reason, are christmas ornaments. I believe I counted SIX this year.

Sunset from Bongo Bongo hot tub

Hi, jdw,

Sorry for the delay. Looks like RickG provided good info re hot tub and sunset views. The hot tub is higher up, on the main house-level deck, and we did get great views.

p.s.: just booked Bongo Bongo for our next visit! :-)

Great views from Bongo Bongo

We stayed at Bongo Bongo in 2007, and just booked for 2012. Obviously, we are fans. Awesome villa, incredibly well thought-out and supplied, great views and sunsets. Unfortunately, it rained for much of our last trip but the Villa Gravity was off the hook. Exceptional house, pool, and view. Highly r...

Bongo Bongo v Cocotier

I can't speak for Cocotier (although we have stayed nearby and the views are really terrific) but my husband and I stayed at Bongo Bongo in 2007 and are planning on returning later this year. For us, the house is ideal. We love the open, indoor-outdoor floor plan, the huge deck and pool, the twinkli...

St. John at Christmas

My hubby and I got married on St. John nearly 12 years ago (see the lapsed ticker...it was counting down our last visit!)...Christmas Eve. It was magical. I will never, ever forget getting off of the ferry and being serenaded by the local choir singing "Santa's looking for a Wife" in the p...
