Re: Island Treasure Maps Photo Contest

WoW! It's hard to believe no one else is entered into this contest. In the past we have had a lot of fun with this contest here on the forum with multiple forumites entering. Maybe next year....

Island Treasure Maps Photo Contest

It's almost the end of the voting for the contest this year. In past years we have had many forumites enter the contest and post their entries on here for others to go vote. You have to "Like" the page and the photo for it to count. Does anyone else have a photo in the contest this year? S...

Re: Olympus TG-4 Camera

I don't know if you would consider it an accessory, but I would buy an extra battery, or two. Battery life is reported at 380 shots. That's really not a lot when your out and about on St.John.

Re: New 12.5% Hotel Tax on Existing Reservations

One time inquiring about a villa I said I know the tax is 10% what other fees will there be. The agent quickly corrected me and said actually the tax is 15%. I can understand paying a fee and a tax but appreciate honesty and wouldn't rent from them.

Re: Books, Apps, or Web sites

Thanks for the info and web sites. I hadn't found one of them yet and it seems to be a good source of info. Have you ever been to Marina Cay? Or Great Camanoe? It sounds like we could rent a Kayak on Marina Cay and explore that area.

Re: Books, Apps, or Web sites

I guess I was hoping for a great resource like what is available for St.John to learn more about the Tortola. I'm not even sure what questions I have, I just wanted to learn as much about Tortola as possible before our trip to better take advantage of the time we have there. Are there any "Don'...

Books, Apps, or Web sites

We are planning on spending 3 days on Tortola in January during our St.John trip. I'm having a hard time finding a lot of info on Tortola. Are there any good books, apps, or web sites out there? Anything the equivalent of Feet FIns and 4 wheel drive would be great. Thanks!

Go ahead and write a letter Littlecheeze. It is for the future of Coral Bay that we fight. It's part of your future too.

Re: Best day to travel home?

Regular planes from major carriers fly in and out of STT 7 days a week. We usually fly in on a Monday and leave on Thursday and it's not very busy. The only time it was real busy was right after Carnival on STT last year.

I saw a cool video recently of dying eggs with old silk ties or scarfs. A google search brought up a bunch of how to sites.

Re: Letter Writing Can Make a Difference.

I LOVE this! I don't understand how SEG got this far to begin with but The Save Coral Bay group is making great headway in stopping them. To think the key players in SEG thought Coral Bay had nothing. Coral Bay has spirit, intelligence, ingenuity and friends all over the world that SEG wasn't counti...

SEG has customs as part of their plan in Coral Bay. Not that it will ever happen but it is part of their plan.

Re: You Did an Outstanding Job

This entire campaign to Save Coral Bay has moved me to tears more than once. I Love Coral Bay and to see so much passion shown for this tiny little place in this big world is just amazing. Some of the comments left by people who have donated are so heartfelt and generous. The FB page and all the art...

Re: Can't miss snorkel

WHat/where is Angels chair?

One of my favorite snorkels is on the east end. I'm not sure of the name, maybe Lime tree cove. Snorkel out to the left. In the center there is almost always turtles.
