Tincansailor - You are close enough to Red Hook to walk from Sapphire, but I would not do that in the dark. The roads are narrow and fairly curvy, with many tourists forgetting to "stay left" after a few pops. Take a cab. Well worth the $5 or whatever it is.

On STT, without a doubt Island Time Pub for "island cheap :? " beer and pizza. Also you can't beat the daily happy hour at Greenhouse (2 for 1 drinks 4-7 pm) and 1/2 price appetizers. On STJ, my vote goes to JJ's for great tex/mex and breakfast, Woody's for happy hour drink specials ($1-$2...

Go to Island Time Pub in Red Hook on 3rd floor. It overlooks American Yacht Harbor. Great views, nice and breezy, cheap beer and plenty of tv's. Oh and THE BEST pizza. I'm craving it now! Lady from IN is right. It's the sunscreen that will kill the deal; not the salt water. The sunscreen will really wreak havoc on a french manicure on the nails. Regular polish will fare allright with a good top coat. Remember the red polish on the toe nails will also attract the iguanas though !

1) "Drunk" shopping in Cruz Bay with a painkiller in hand.

2) Walking down the stairs at Trunk Bay gradually in the morning so you see more and more of the crystal-clear, calm, turquoise water with each step.
