It seems to me (looking at the pictures) that the eco-tents will take up a larger footprint and require more land clearing of the current tent areas. Not sure how ECO -FRIENDLY the tents will be!.

I've already made our reservations thru Amalie for our November trip. Call it what you want - they offer great service and it makes the start of vacation so much easlier with less hassle. If issues happen close to our vacation with the car barge I will roll with it.

I agree that you can probably do without a vehicle the first and last days of your trip. However, if it were me, with three teenages to corral, I'd rent a vehicle from Amalie on St. Thomas, load everything up once and take the car barge over.
