We ate there in Jan with some friends from the mainland. Average service, average food and way above average prices. It's a tough unforgiving business in De Islands.

We have stayed in Westin Timshares on St John before. Clean and safe, you already know your way around. So if the Price is Right just do it. Rent a car and go have fun.

Playing with Dolphins

Deb and I were out on the boat Sunday and had a pod of Dolphins playing in the boat wake. Deb shot the video. <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ly8Ne-fYil0&hl=en_US&fs=1?rel=0&hd=1&border=1"></...

Pie Whole and Hook, Line and Sinker are in French Town, on the other side of the CA harbor. I'm sure Capt. Jay would answer, but he's taking a long birthday and is probably asleep on his boat! Another good spot closer to your hotel Is Yacht Haven Grande. There are three restaurants The Fat Turtle a...

Re: BVI inspection on Sadie Sea

Sadie Sea is following all SOLAS regulations and in the process of completing all the new BVI regulations as well. The max number of PAYING guests is 12 not total number of guests. Alright I was going to stay out of this one but I will put my .02 in. Exit Zero has covered it pretty well. Sadie you ...

Spice Cam, Boats, and Food Porn all in one ;-)

So I was off yesterday, had to do a little work on the boat and since it was so nice out had to go for a ride. Here is the boat on the spice cam, right beside the Ocean Runners boats. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4038/4438041684_afb74a5743_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2754/4435868050_2ef8d...

You have an old Frommer's That place is shut down. It is currently called Pineapple Village. The Wyndham bought it after several other investors swapped it around. They had plans of converting it to time shares but the economy took a dump. Oh yeah and people are starting to figure out that time shar...

I haven't been in a Nitro, but it is built on Liberty Frame so it will be very similar in size. We rented a Liberty a year or two back and I have been in several four door Wranglers. I think the Wrangler is slightly larger inside both rear seat and cargo room. The liberty/nitro will be a little easi...

The trip went well yesterday. One of the bigger bare boats that you can rent, 35 foot Stamas. Very solid fairly dry ride. It ran well with twin 225 four stroke Yamaha engines. Huge bimini/t top. We burned 42 gallons of fuel for the day. That was Red Hook to Norman island then back to Jost, then back...

John,
Post it to your facebook first. Then you need to get the properties/link to the picture and post it by putting that address in the IMG brackets here.

My suggestion would be to rent a car for the day. I beleive there is still a rental company at Saphire. At $15 bucks a head each way times three the car rental for the day will be about the same money maybe less. Make a day of it and tour the island as well as get you Magen's day in.
