Easy access into Cruz Bay, multiple swimming pools, plenty of space, and it's on a nice level lot with great views.

Re: Cruz Bay Dining map - I need help!

Anthony, do you have P&P By The Sea on the map? It's one of our favorite places, great local food, but hard to find.

Re: Adding Anegada to a St. John trip

Gotcha. If you're going for 11 days, that's much different than trying to split a typical 7 day vacation among the two islands. Travel time from Roadtown to West End is about 20 minutes via taxi. On the way down, I'd suggest taking a ferry that goes straight from Charlotte Amalie to Roadtown, rather...

Re: Adding Anegada to a St. John trip

The ferry to Anegada leaves from Roadtown, while the St John ferry departs West End. It's probably about 6 miles from one ferry terminal to the other, but BVI taxi rates are sky high. Expect to pay $14 per person each way or more, according to this http://www.bvivacation.com/transportation/tortola-t...

A hazy dazy week so far

My bride and I have been down since last Monday and it's been a wonderful vacation so far. Enjoyed a shared charter with Capt John of Palm Tree charters, with fellow forumite "Myheart'sinSTJ" on Wednesday. It's been hot and hazy, the Sahara dust has finally cleared a little this afternoon....

We have been down the past two years over the 4th of July. It was busy in town, but not really overcrowded or crazy. We went in to town later in the day, so missed the bulk of the parade. We usually went in to the festival village and got some food from the vendors, listened to some music, and just ...

Would you mind expanding on what disappointed you about P&P? My wife and I have eaten there three times in 2010 and 2011 and are really looking forward to a return in a few weeks. We've always had wonderful food in a very, shall we say, casual setting.

Caneel Bay, the only all-inclusive on St John, is $5800 for a week, low season, in their least expensive room category, and that does not include alcohol, just 3 meals a day with tax and gratuity. www.caneelbay.com I looked into the Westin St John and they don't appear to offer all-inclusive package...

All inclusive on a budget means that St John is not for you. For inexpensive all inclusive you should investigate Mexico or the Dominican Republic.

We have been down the past two years on July 4th. The North Shore road closes at the top of the hill before coming down past the overlook and toward Mongoose Junction. I'd say that getting a taxi from Caneel would be a bit dicey. Unless the cab was already at Caneel before the road closed, they'd ha...
