Was at Black Sands tonight, LOVE IT!!! My husband ordered the meat pizza and could not finish it! I love all the salads, shrimp and grits, specials and fried mushrooms. Mostly locals seem to frequent, prices are good and portions large. For the summer crowd coming down, it is air conditioned and ple...

It will not affect your rental, it is only the to be finished units/unsold/Alida-the woman that bailed out Grande Bay whose units are going into time share. You have rented from an owner who is not part of the time share. The time share units have not gone on the market yet, Do Not Worry!!

St John Market is about a dollar cheaper on everything compared to Starfish and even more on produce. I bought some excellent strip steaks last weekend there. They are opening a deli with Dietz and Watson cold cuts soon come. Pine Peace is a little cheaper but remember to check expiration dates!

Pills do not need to be in original containers, I have done the days of the week, and my husband puts all his pills in one big bottle. Liquid/cough medicine bottles with a prescription on the bottle from a pharmacy does not have to be 3oz or less, I put my liquid allergy medicine in a separate zip-l...

If you have a car in Minnesota it might be cheaper to ship your own car down and you will know if it is reliable. Buying a $3000 car down here you don't know what you are getting.

I would suggest VRBO.com for finding lodging on St John. Renting directly from an owner might get you a better deal than through one of the rental agencies. Also many St John residents have apartments in their homes that they rent out, that will give you a better feel for the island and the people w...

Thank you everyone, it is truly a labor of love!!! I appreciated all the building blogs before ours, here on St John and all the other tropics building blogs I read.
