We didn't win either so our dream of buying Maho Estate, donating it to the parks department and stipulating the Echo Camps stay put will have to wait a little longer.

Sorry Pia, you were going to handle the deal. Guess I didn't tell you that part.

Your tag name is only 'locked' for the specific web site you registered with (or family of web sites working under the same organization). In this case, 'News of STJ' has no affiliation with VIOL so any tag name used on VIOL can be used by others on News or vice versa. Don't worry, your computer is ...

There are no steps to deal with. The driveway (short) is a little narrow but really not an issues and one gets used to it after 2-3 times. The area is very quite and only 15 minutes from Cruz but I do think your wife will not want to make the drive to beaches if she is not really interested. The mas...

One suggestion. Start saving now for the return trip to STJ. You'll feel so much better on the ferry back to STT knowing there's money in the bank to come back. Trust me...

Make sure you have a copy of the 'bible' (STJ Off the Beaten Track). Ask away...anything we can do to feed the addiction you already have. 8)

Great, Francis has been our favorite beach. I must admit to following all posts & pics about the manta and would love to see the it when we visit but I really hope it goes to another beach and takes the mania with it.

Ah yes...or the dreaded dump truck (in front of or coming at you). I remember our favorite was a backhoe heading to Fish Bay and we were staying at Soft Winds (the end of Shoreline & Marina). We were praying the whole time they weren't going up Cocoloba Point.

To each his/her own but "...not close to anything" is why we like it. The drive is ~ 15 minutes to Cruz which is nothing in Texas but admittedly not everyones cup of tea on STJ. Some time planning is involved when you want a 'night in town' after the beaches but unless you have an early re...
