Things to do to help Save Coral Bay?

Hi everyone, Maybe I missed it but is there a website or list of actionable items citizens can do to help prevent the mega-marina from taking over Coral Bay? If there is one, perhaps it can be pinned to the top of the forum. I already made a small donation to the Save Coral Bay fund: http://www.gofu...

Re: Bicycle Rental

I've seen some high end bikes being ridden and presume their owners brought them in. You might be able rent something in STT but I doubt in STJ. An adventure bike racer friend brought his mountain bike and road some pretty gnarly offroad climbs, but I bet they weren't legal. NPS isn't very bike frie...

YES! That's it. Thank you. It's amazing (and a bit sad) about how much things have changed.

Where was this photo taken....?

The first time I went to St John was in '72 and a lot has changed. I can't place this photo and need some help. Any ideas? Remember this is 1972.

A quick villa video review: The Castle

A friend (and GoPro fanatic) just got back from STJ and is putting together some pretty cool vids. This one is pretty awesome.

We missed Thanksgiving!

Anyone else notice that Steve Simonsen's STJ calendar had Thanksgiving listed last week?

Re: Ever had a flat tire on STJ?

My American Motorcycle Association membership comes with Roadside Assistance for both bikes and cars, and says it's valid in the US Virgin Islands. Luckily I've never had to test out the service. I wonder if AAA has something similar.....

No mention of Cinnamon Bay Campground but presumably the new management company will take this over too?

Me too.

It was nice getting an email from JBlue letting me know. All I need is a week or so more and I'm gettin' to it.

Re: Jetblue doesn't make it easy to plan ahead....

Thx, a99. At least knowing that they operate on a 6-month schedule lets me know when to check for flights.

I really like JetBlue and fly it whenever I can.

Jetblue doesn't make it easy to plan ahead....

As of now, Jetblue only lists flights in my area (Boston) up to January 5th.....

Whatzupwidat? Is there a way to be informed when then extend their flight schedule?

Re: Who experienced STJ in the earlier times(80s and eariler

We've been tenting at Cinnamon Bay since '71, back when it was $60/week for a walk-in tent and all the cookware. No Peter Bay monstrosities, no restaurant -- the small store was located where the museum is now. The park built the first incarnation of the "cabins", essentially stucco igloos...

Re: Airfare - In Season from NE

JetBlue direct BOS>STT is awesome but to get a good deal you really need to monitor their website and wait for one of their specials. Fares were hovering at $450 for a long time and then they had an unannounced Xmas day sale of $350 that we hopped on for our March trip (travel days: Wed-Tues). The r...
