So I feel better knowing others are in the same, sad, cold boat. Thanks all for sharing your respective sob stories. And of all things, I'm going skiing this weekend. Perhaps someone in St. John is saying right now, "Gee I sure do miss the seasons. Wouldn't it be grand if I could hit the slopes...

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!

We are on our fifth day without power here in St. Louis (Ballwin, MO) . My house is 40 degrees  It's in the teens outside  I'm at work VERY BUSY  dreaming of some 85 degree sunshine, sugary sand between my toes, the smell of aloe healing my burnt skin, a painkiller in my war...

Jumbiegirl - - how about something like this for a clear view of the ocean? Not sure if I got the pic right. If not, the link should show on here. I think yellow is the best color. I couldn't find a clear-bottomed boat. [img]http://www.poolcenter.com/images/pooltoys_bi_amdel_deluxecomfortmat.jpg[img]

Wonderful pics and WT reports Jorge!!! I love every minute. It gives me and the hubby much hope that we'll still be partying/drinking/acting like crazy fools  on St. John for many more vacations! Lucky you that you have two more trips this year! Nic - Glad you finally were able to get some good flight pricing from KC. For one night, I would recommend Best Western Emerald Beach near the airport. Clean, great beach, cheap ($125/night or so). You can grab the ferry from CA in the morning.

Jorge -- you guys ROCK! You are our kinda people (the only thing missing on STJ is a strip club -- we had that very conversation), so who gives a flying &*@! if others don't like your comments. I think a majority do! Post whatever you want and PLEASE post some more pics!!

Hey Nic - - We live in STL and fares aren't nearly that expensive. I think they are currently running around $450 or so on American. It would be worth the 4 hour drive to St. Louis or a $100 round trip ticket via Southwest to get here. I can't imagine the flights are $700 from KC  CRAZY!

Further clarifications

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I love it here already. Something else to divert me from work! Yes, the kids will be staying in the room although a suite would be awesome (with separate bedrooms  ). I think I'm dreaming for $150 a night though. We've stayed at the Wyndham - - they love it ...

Terri - Haven't got that far yet as far as specifics! My daughter has her annual dance recital in the first week of June, so I would imagine it would be after that. When are you going? I would be great to coordinate the schedule so we can meet up at some point, if not try to arrange a BVI trip. My k...

New to this Forum from vinow.com - - thanks Sea Nile!

Thanks Sea Nile for suggesting this forum! Love it! Had a few glasses of wine this weekend with the hubby. Started talking about a trip to the VI next summer with the kids. Liquored up = amenable to vacation talk  . I am a complete and total addict. What places would you all suggest to stay wi...
