February 2005. We stayed at a condo in Pastory. It rained at night and the rain was dripping into my bedroom. The next morning, I hadn't done much planning-just knew that Trunk was the most famous beach. So we went there and was told by the NPS staff that the swells were up-try Salt Pond. Huh-where'...

Thank you Rick for the sailing report. Each year for the past 5 years we've sailed out of Tortola in the BVI for 3-4 nights (then head back to St John). We've never even done the trip to Anegada!

It's interesting that this thread recently came up. I was on island in March sitting on our regular beach chairs and for the first time I was thinking I would be more comfortable if the chairs were a bit higher. And I see I'm not alone. I will be buying more beach chairs and include some higher ones...

You can also rent at Beach Bum-right across from the ferry (upstairs)

I agree that the tax increase has been a problem. But michiganfamily, you said that the additional tax (from 10% as expected to 12.5%) was costing you $50 additional per day. If so, your daily rental rate would be $2000/day.
