Colony Cove is part of what is known as "condo row" on STX. (Sugar Beach, Mill Harbour, Club St. Croix, Cruzan Princess). Condo Row is built very close to the WAPA plant to the west of C'Sted and what owners of those rental condos will dispute or not tell you is that the beaches at those c...

Here's a bunch of stuff. Have a great time - Carambola is pretty far "out there" to the west. Be sure to grab a slice at Off The Wall in Cane Bay and go to the reggae brunch (or just grab a bite) at EAT@Cane Bay. My St. Croix Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kxuffxpu92g&feature=re...

The villa near Candle Reef is La Viridian, a newly built property. http://www.vacationstcroix.com/LaViridian/La_Viridian.html I've stayed there twice - this past June with a girlfriend and just returned after staying there with my husband. It's a very nice villa. Check out Vacation St. Croix's websi...

Hi,

We have stayed in several villas on the east end. Just returned on December 10 from a villa near Candle Reef.

How can I help?

The ferry is not currently running. When it IS running it is about 90 minutes of rock and roll known as the "Barf Barge" and the "Vomit Comet". Most comfortable / easiest / fastest way is the seaplane or air shuttle via Seaborne Airlines.

See this article. JMO, but I would be a bit reluctant about buying into this property until this gets ironed out.

CG - Your photos are great! To bring faces out of the shadows I run the photo through Picasa first and use fill light, then I go on to the heavier artillery for the other elements. Picasa also has this great "I'm feeling lucky" button which sometimes is all you need for exposure, color, et...

Pam,

There was one in April this year, right before we arrived, unfortunately. Haven't seen a fall date as yet. Contact the Landmarks Society at Whim:

Good for you, Pam! We're thinking about a late November or early STX December trip, too. Hopefully, the island won't be sitting under a tropical depression as it was last year while we were there in early November. Ay, the flooding, especially to the west! We could fly away but residents were dealin...

The gels are great but the job does not come off easily - it is re-filled or you have to soak it off in acetone, like acrylic nails. I have had good luck with OPI with a topcoat of Seche Vite. Something new and very cool in OPI is the "Shatter" polishes that go on over the regular colors t...

Wait a minute... You're going back in less than a month? Lucky girl! Thanks for the report and pictures. Glad the Jumbies didn't get you in the end. Yes, I am one lucky girl and I can't wait to be back. Those darn Jumbies - I hope they are vacationing on another island in June and forget all about ...

That is too funny! No, really, he WAS sitting in the palapa.
