Favorite breakfast restaurants?

Our last two trips, we've eaten most of our breakfasts at Donkey Diner, but I hear that they are closed... Any suggestions? We like a basic hearty breakfast, nothing foo foo... :D

loverotties - this is our first time on the "sunset side" of the island! I think we'll probably spend more time at the villa than we usually do!

It's almost here...

After all the planning and waiting, we're down to the last three days before we leave!! I'm so excited! and so worried that I'm forgetting something! Most of the last 6 months have crawled by, but the last week or so has been crazy! Time is flying by! I can't wait to be laying on a beach!! :D Edited...

Although I have heard them (by the billions!) at night, I haven't actually SEEN a frog on St. John yet! Maybe this guy will hang around awhile... :D

Occupy St. John Beaches - New Facebook group

I was invited to this group by the Crabmon, and thought some of you might want to check it out.

It looks like they had a great time at the beaches yesterday, by their pictures.

There's a new facebook group, Occupy St. John Beaches, they feature lots of pix of people on the beaches yesterday...

Also, how can they give a citation if you swim away?

Even before this happened we had planned on renting a dinghy to get to some of the beaches we've never seen. We still plan to.
From what I read, boats can pass through park waters, just can't stop...

It was mentioned on the CBS news that the idea of opening the VA and the National Parks was shot down... :(

They certainly did find a way to "ugly up" the island! This is horrible! I feel so bad for everyone who is on island right now. I know how you must feel, looking forward to it all year and then have this happen. Our trip is coming soon and I really hope that all signs of this "closure...

If I'm awake I'll try to catch it from Plumeria! I usually wake up early on STJ, but we usually have an East facing villa... I may sleep late this year!

Me too! And good question about the ferries too! If they don't resolve things before we get there, this will be the strangest vacation ever!
