Would you mind telling me which villa you rented? We were at Cinnamon Tarn (Catherineberg) this spring, and the view looks similar.

We were billed 50 cents for each text that our daughter sent this past May. We use AT&T and each text bounced through a BVI tower. Ouch!

I would find it easier to be upset with the airlines if they were raking in big profits, like maybe, the oil industry is right now???

We're leaving tomorrow for St John and I'm wondering what the ferry ride is going to be like. We were going to take the CA ferry, but would Red Hook be better?

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I'm leaning towards the Canon. The only negative thing I can come up with is that the battery life may be less than the Nikon, but I can deal with that. Now I just need to decide who to buy it from!!

Canon Rebel vs Nikon

I'm considering buying a new camera in the next 2 weeks and wonder if anyone has any advice/opinion about buying a Canon Rebel vs. a Nikon D40X. I would bring it on our upcoming trip to St John, but we're also going to Africa later this summer and that is a big reason to I want to buy a camera. Than...

i am trying to help my niece plan her honeymoon to St John and we've run into a snag. She and her fiance are 24 and the companies we've found online only rent to those over 25. He commanded a unit in Iraq but can't rent a car?? Anyone have advice on who to call?

We've rented Mystic Ridge the past two years and have enjoyed staying there. Three of the bedrooms have a/c and there is a nice pool and new hot tub. The really nice thing about the location is that it's just off Centerline Rd. and is convenient to the northshore beaches. http://islandgetawaysinc.co...

The tree is definitely there. The picture was taken from the far right side, probably at the top of the stairs. You wouldn't see this perspective from the entrance to Vie's

I'm happy you made it to Matchbox. There are so many great restaurants in DC, but we always make it back there for one meal. My daughter has recently relocated to Chicago, but you could see Matchbox from her apartment window.

I know you can walk to Matchbox, Legal Seafoods, and a new Clyde's from the Hyatt -they're all located within a block of 7th and H at the Chinatown gate. There is a new circulator bus (the red one) that runs a great cheap route to Georgetown, plus another that goes down to and around the mall area. ...

I had decided not to post this comment, but now that I am reading these postings, I have decided to anyway. We love St John, and have visited many times, but are now aware that it is not the totally safe place many think it is. We are not a family who is out past dinner - always back at our villa by...
