The CA ferry schedule even though posted with daily hours, is not always dependable. Give yourself plenty of time and know that you can rely on the red hook posted schedule.

We also have needed 1 night on different trips and have found Cruz Bay Boutique to be just what we were looking for. When staying for 2 or 3 weeks, we occasionally have a night in between that we need before going forward to our next location. I highly recommend the Boutique. $216.00 night incl tax....

I hear good things about Battery Hill but never stayed there. Have stayed at Lavender Hill just before it many times and very satisfied, lavenderhill.net. Easy walk into town.

ATM'S also at the Westin lobby and lobby outside of Starfish Market. I find these two more dependable and "safer".

You won't get permission! Access from the Westin end hasn't been open since the Westin bought the property years ago. The Virgin Grand Villas are private property and can only be accessed from Gift Hill end. Can you imagine if the gate was down, how many cars would travel the "short cut"? ...

Look at lavenderhill.net. Views are awesome from the decks, pool is great, plenty of parking and it's across from Zozo's rest. How much time can you spend in a shower? Check it out, it's in your price range.

We have had good luck with weather in November and are looking at available Westin studios. Most restaurants reopen during the early part of Nov, which works well for us. Looking forward to more reports from Leslie.
