Currently I own the 18-55mm, plus a 75-300 zoom. We leave for St John this weekend, and for that trip I'll take both lenses. I'd like to have something else before the France trip in May, a wider angle probably.

I am going to travel to France this summer and would like to simplify my camera and it's various lenses. I'd like to go with only one, in the interest of keeping the weight of my bags down. Does anyone have a recommendation.....which lens could you not travel without?

We live 1 1/2 hours from louisville ky and 3 hours south of indianapolis, but thanks for the suggestion. We have just accepted the fact that St John will never be a cheap destination for us. It hasn't stopped us yet!

We will be on St John March 21 -28 and I'm wondering if anyone has stayed at either of these two villas. Leeward Villa, or L'Esprit de la Vie. I understand that Leeward is below L'Esprit, but if anyone has an opinion on either villa, I'd love to hear about it!

I'll try to find out the location from the park service office. Last spring we went to the library in the hope that someone there could help us, but they couldn't help us.

Does anyone know what road or trail to take to try to look at the home? We are going to St John in March and I'd love to check it out.
