Re: RickG's group travel rules for St. John

Thanks Rick! I have seven, yes SEVEN! newbies traveling with me in late October. To be honest there might be a whiner or two in the group....

I'm doing my best to not end up being Julie McCoy from The Love Boat for a week!

Thanks for the great tips!

Thank you, thank you! Your trip reports are always such a joy to read and I am, as always, impressed with your amazing snorkeling and photography skills. Thank you for being one of my best guests at Grande Bay! Looking forward to your return!

Re: Spirit Airlines: The Difference Is The Indifference

We made it to gorgeous St. John today only two hours late. The initial delay out of Chicago was on the same plane they were using to get to St. Thomas, so we were fortunate. Lots of weather issues and to be honest, we had friendly Spirit staff the entire day. The worry is always that a delay will me...

Re: Spirit Airlines: The Difference Is The Indifference

Well, I've flown Spirit several times without an incident. I am also flying them tomorrow as I head down to St. John and I am now praying that I don't have the same issues...... By the way, my flight from Chicago was $675 EACH so definitely no discount this time around although they were the least e...

Re: White Bay in June?

My response won't help with how crowded it may or may not be, but if you plan to take the ferry, see if you can do it on a Sunday. The ferry leaves St. John at 8:30 but doesn't leave Jost until 5:30. All other days, the ferry departs Jost at 4:00pm. Same price but an hour and a half longer to enjoy ...

Re: A special Forumite

Wow. I'll admit that I am sitting here with tears in my eyes and so humbled by all your kind words. Truly humbled. Some of you know that this has been a very rough week for my family and just yesterday I was yelling at God and asking for help. (Sorry God!). You all have played a role in answering my...

Re: Boston

Sorry to have not replied sooner, we have been on Facebook and texting many friends and family. Juice is fortunately a fast runner and completed the marathon over an hour before the bombs went off. My son Alex and I were on the opposite side of the street about 30-45 minutes prior. We feel blessed a...

Re: Sunset Ridge

I am also an owner at Sunset Ridge and we own a week at the end of June. We have seen improvements every year and do enjoy our stays as the units are spacious and offer privacy along with a large pool and beautiful views. To be honest, at the end of June it can get warm without AC but there are plen...

Re: Another snorkeler died in waters off of St. John

I am with Ickster, I love to snorkel and would do it on every trip for hours on end. I have competed in triathlons so have the ability to swim. Once my husband and I rented a dinghy and grabbed a mooring ball at Henley Cay (or one of them) and we jumped in to see the sights. Soon after entering the ...
