Call the Dolphin people. They go from the NPS dock in STJ to Jost and will drop you off right on White Bay.

Just wondering, why anchor at White Bay and not just pick up a mooring ball (the fee)? Can you stay over night on Jost, assuming you had a place to stay, or must you (custome rules?) return on the same day? There are moorings available in front of Ivan's in White Bay. Those moorings are honestly be...

Re: It has been almost 8 years-let's talk Ocean Runners
Do we hit Jost for customs? If so can we pull an Ocean runner up to that dock or should be just go to Tortola? Clear on Jost. Pull up to the dock and raft up if necessary. We have to anchor at Sandy Spit right? Yes. Can we just pick up a mooring at white bay or would you anchor? Anchor. How long wi...

I'd suggest the private taxi all the way to Red Hook and then a water taxi over. Private taxi for 6 people = $90 (No waiting, no stops, no extra charge for luggage) Water Taxi is $130 (No waiting, no stops, no extra charge for luggage, you can have a beer on the way!) I wouldn't recommend the CA pic...

With 14 people you'd need more than one boat.
Try Dolphin Shuttle at www.dolphinshuttle.com
Their boats are bigger, they do regular runs to Jost, and are used to large groups. Worth calling/e-mailing for a quote.
They're based right on St. John.

In my experience an e-mail is better than a phone call. Do you have an e-mail address? Her fax is 340-776-6992. Even if I had her email, which I don't, I have found they are not as effective as you are used to. In the VI, face to face is best, but barring that a fax with a real person's signature i...

Tage is closed. Reopening? **SHAKES MAGIC 8-BALL** Prospects are dim, ask again later. For those who loved Ten Tables, yes, it's gone.Paul, the owner/chef is now running Paradiso and it's out of sight. IMO, some of the best food on STJ right now. Paradiso was doing 80-90 dinners a night during Sept/...

Re: A few questions from a returning St. John fan
Does anyone know of a charter that focuses more on sailing than snorkeling? I'll be by myself so I'd need to share a boat with someone if possible. I'd like to go somewhere out of the way like Sandy Spit, I'm kind of obsessed with going there. Soma, no question. 40' racing catamaran. Fastest sailbo...
