Re: Stinging Plankton - Any Updates?

I was on St John for 2 and a half weeks in June. All of our 5 member party got stung multiple times about every day at every beach we were at (Maho, Frances, Oppenheimer, Jumbie, Trunk, etc.). But it wasn't bad enough to slather on more lotions, though. Nobody had any lasting troubles - maybe a litt...

Re: GoPro Users - Questions

Has anyone used a GoKnuckles with their GoPro?? It looks pretty cool for snokeling. The pole looks cool too but it seems like it would get in the way.

GoPro Users - Questions

I'm thinking about getting the new GOPro Hero4 and wondered how people like their GOPros and if they think they're worth the price.

What software do you use for editing?
How long does the battery last?
Is it easy to use underwater? (viewing the screen, pressing buttons etc.)
Any good tips?

Most tickets were $1200 per person round trip for us in June (Delta and American). Ended up with $822 on US Air.

Re: Say it Ain't So!

We always go in June and I wouldn't say ST John beaches were like stateside beaches when crowded. The mornings are always quiet and wonderful. When it gets "crowded" around 2:00 we just go back to the villa and enjoy the pool before getting cleaned up for dinner. If you don't plan to go to...

Re: Trip with two 4-6 month olds (twins)

I brought a 2½-year old to St John. I would NEVER do that again. ZERO relaxation. And we had 2 sets of grandparents and an aunt with us to help out!

Re: First time visitors

Here's a tip. Always greet a St Johnian with a "good morning" or "good afternoon" and a smile before you start a conversation. If you just start in with a question you might be considered rude. :D Re-gear yourself for Island Time. St Johnians don't rush things. They might even cl...

Re: Questions about Caneel and Waterlemon

I really enjoyed the snorkeling at Caneel's Main beach to the left of the ferry dock and out to the point. I actually thought Scott Beach was about the worst snorkeling I'd ever done on St John.

Can anyone tell me how long the GoPro battery lasts? Just curious.
What file format are the HD movies in?
